Born in the quaint town of Northampton, Massachusetts, William Hibbard's early life unfolded in the secluded embrace of the Berkshire Hills. Those formative years, spent amidst the verdant rolling hills and rustic charm of small-town life, were marked by humble beginnings that instilled in him a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature.  On any given day you would find William trudging through the woods while barefoot and his companions at his side, flushing out bad guys.  Despite the financial hardships of his upbringing, William discovered an innate passion for art at the tender age of ten, a pivotal moment sparked by a simple drawing contest advertisement in the TV Guide. Though artistic inspiration wasn't a familial trait, William pursued his passion amidst a 45-year-long career in the graphic industries. His expertise in printing, where he advanced from pressman to pressroom manager and eventually plant manager, provided a technical foundation that would later serve his artistic endeavors. Retirement finally granted William the liberty to commit himself fully to his art, allowing his creativity to flourish unbounded by occupational constraints.

William's artwork primarily draws inspiration from the tranquility and majesty of nature. His love for hiking and exploring waterfalls feeds his creative vision, capturing these sublime elements with a unique perspective that is distinctly his own. Utilizing a camera, filters, and tripod, his process exemplifies patience and meticulous attention to detail, honed over time. Among his most cherished projects are the awe-inspiring images of cascading waterfalls and ethereal full moons, where his talent for composition shines.

Influenced by a spiritual reverence for creation, William's work embodies a celebration of the divine beauty in the natural world. His peers and admirers laud him for his keen eye, balance, and striking ability to capture the essence of his subjects. Affiliated with the New Hampshire Craftsman Guild and Photographers of New England, William's work has been recognized in accolades such as Photo contests and State Fairs further cementing his reputation as a skilled artist with a distinctive vision.

Alongside his passion for photography, William cultivates an interest in the celestial, indulging in hobbies like astronomy and astrophotography. This fascination with the night sky often permeates his work, imbuing it with a sense of wonder and infinity.

My technique is distinctive, characterized by a keen understanding of my creative objectives and the ability to manipulate my camera to achieve the desired outcome. This intentionality, combined with the adaptability to embrace unforeseen changes, is what makes my art truly unique.
